All of Shareable’s articles — except those re-published from other news sites — are Creative Commons licensed (CC BY-NC-ND) with the following additional requirements:

  1. You must edit the “rel=canonical” tag in the HTML of your version of a Shareable.net story to let search engines know that the Shareable.net post is the original version. The tag looks like this: <link rel=”canonical” href=”https://www.sampleURL.com” />. Just make sure that the Shareable.net story URL is in the tag and not a URL from your website. This let’s search engines know that the original version of the article is located on Shareable.net (a text attribution alone doesn’t guarantee that).
  2. If you republish an original Shareable story, please include the full name of the writer in the byline, attribute the story to Shareable in the body of the article with a link back to the original post on Shareable.net, and send us a note at info [at] shareable [dot] net to let us know you’re republishing our work. Here’s a statement you can place in the body of the article to correctly attribute Shareable.net (please hyperlink Shareable.net in the statement with the original Shareable.net article URL): This article is cross posted with permission from Shareable.net

If you’re interested in the use of Shareable’s material outside of these requirements, please email us for permission: info@shareable.net. We allow our material to be remixed or republished commercially on a case-by-case basis.

Note that use permission for images accompanying Shareable articles must be requested from the creator unless they are Shareable’s property or have a Creative Commons share-alike license.
