The Gulfport-Biloxi area on the Mississippi Gulf Coast has seen quite a few changes since Hurricane Katrina. Some of those changes are positive, like two new community gardens (one in Biloxi, one in Gulfport), a bike share program, a co-working space, city leaders creating new common areas for free family fun, and a growing number of local citizens trading, selling and buying used goods, and giving items away in the freeconomy. There are so many wonderful efforts to improve the Gulfport-Biloxi area that I wanted to provide a space for people to organize, collaborate, and join forces with local groups to build the sharing and new economies on the Gulf Coast.

Biloxi Town Green is used as a shared space for free family events and community holiday celebrations.
Biloxi Main Street (downtown area) is home to local artists, local shops, and free community events
