Ambika is the former managing editor at Shareable. Before joining Shareable, she was news editor at GlobalPost [now part of Public Radio International], where she worked with correspondents and editors based around the world to cover global news stories. Previously, she worked as a social media producer at Media Cause and as an assistant news editor at the San Francisco Public Press.
In 2012, Ambika received the Women Immigrants Fellowship from New America Media. She wrote an in-depth story on the reintegration struggles of survivors of human trafficking for the fellowship. In addition to her coverage of human rights issues, she has reported on international development and environmental policies. Her work has been published on Earth Island Journal, Bay Nature Magazine, and GreenBiz. She has also worked as a social media assistant at FRONTLINE [PBS].
Ambika received her master's degree in journalism from Boston University and a dual bachelor's degree in English and communication from the University of California, Davis.
