Leila Collins is the Managing Partner at Aequitas, an investment firm that helps keep affordable housing in local hands. Before Aequitas, she served as Senior Advisor to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, where she structured over $4.5 billion in complex public-private partnerships, including a statewide housing plan and port infrastructure project. Before government service, Leila was an investor at MetaProp, a PropTech venture capital firm, where she evaluated emerging technologies transforming real estate. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master’s in Urban Planning from Columbia GSAPP. Leila lives in Brooklyn.
