Washington DC's Capital Bikeshare has been quite successful. Since launching in September 2010, it has enrolled over 15,350 annual members, 1,300 monthly members, and sold over 72,000 daily and weekly memberships. It's the largest bikeshare program in the country with more than 1100 bicycles located at 114 stations across the city, with plans to add 54 stations in DC and Northern Virginia.
