Hendrix Berry is a recent graduate from Earlham College in Indiana where she studied Economics and was a resident farmer at Earlham’s student run Miller Farm. Hendrix’s idea of a perfect day is to milk goats in the morning, have a country music jam before lunch, fall asleep in the garden reading during the afternoon, and rob a bank at night. After being inspired in high school by the factory take-overs in Argentina and in college by the Zapatista movement for autonomy in Mexico, she joined the Co-cycle collective in 2013 to bike from Seattle to Boston visiting cooperative businesses and discovering democracy in this country.
She grew up in a small town called Leverett in Western Massachusetts and hopes to one day return to the house she grew up in to help build and strengthen a democratic and sustainable economy in the region. She is currently living in Boston and working as a paid intern at the New Economy Coalition.
