SHARE San Francisco, Saturday, May 7th, Hub SoMa

SHARE San Francisco is convening local leaders on Saturday May 7th for a day of connection, conversation, and action to strengthen the Bay Area as a platform for sharing.

Why SHARE SF?
Cities promise broad access to the resources citizens need to create great lives and contribute to the common good. Unfortunately, this promise is rarely realized.

However, an unprecedented opportunity to strive for freedom, prosperity and sustainability through sharing has emerged due to new technologies and sharing business models, intensifying urbanization, the empowerment of women and minorities, and a new generation's preference for access versus ownership.

With this opportunity in mind, SHARE SF invites you to explore how to strengthen the Bay Area as a platform for sharing through an all-day unconference.

Experts will kickoff the day with short talks about the new possibilities for sharing in the city, including:

  • Neal Gorenflo, publisher of Shareable Magazine, an award winning online magazine about sharing and bottom-up urban social innovation
  • Lisa Gansky, serial entrepreneur and author of The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing;
  • Jay Nath, Director of Innovation, the city of San Francisco, and the city’s government 2.0, open data, and open source software champion;

The talks will set the stage for the unconference where you can host your own conversation about sharing or join in conversation with sharing economy leaders including:

SHARE SF is designed to help you discover new opportunities for impact, connect with leaders across sectors to boost your innovative potential, and explore sharing as a scalable change strategy that addresses many social needs at once.

Please join us for this vital conversation. There may be no better path to freedom, prosperity, and sustainability than to strengthen our city as a platform for sharing.
