We want to hear about your neighborhood and we are willing to pay the writers of top three Mini-sagas (1st $550.00, 2nd $300.00 and 3rd $150.00) as chosen by the OhSoWe Team with feedback from the readers, of course. So tell us about your neighborhood. You don’t need to choose one of the following, just tell us why it’s a great neighborhood, but here are some ideas:

• What is so cool about your neighborhood?
• Why is your neighborhood a great place to live?
• Have you shared something with a neighbor?
• How has a neighbor helped you?
• Why is your neighborhood green?
• Do you have an outstanding neighbor that really makes a difference in your neighborhood?
• Why are you so proud of your neighborhood?

Write and submit a minisaga to OhSoWe.  A mini-saga, as defined by Wikipedia, is a short piece of writing containing EXACTLY 50 words (no more, or no less) with a title of up to 15 words. Also, please give us up to 15 words on where your neighborhood is located, WITH A MINIMUM OF CITY AND STATE.

The competition will be held the Month of August and we will try to publish a submitted minisaga each day. It has to be published on our blog to be eligible to win, so the sooner you submit your entry, the better chance you have of getting it published. We will only publish 31 of them, one for each day of August. We will choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the 31 minisagas we post.

To submit, send your up to 15 word tile, your 50 word (no more, no less) mini-saga and up to 15 words on where your neighborhood is tominisaga@ohsowe.com. Make sure that you send it from an email address that we can reach you at in case you are deemed a winner!

Details:

• If you submit it to us, we have the right to publish it on our blog and syndicate it to other outlets. We won’t be selling it or capitalizing on it in any way.
• Picking a winner: The OhSoWe team will chose a winner. But, we will consider feedback from our readers.
• Winners will be announced on September 5th, 2011.
• You can enter up to 5 times.
• You do not have to be a user on OhSoWe.com, but we would of course like you to be. 
• 50 “Words” No, not all 50 words need to be proper, if slang or nick names or something else is relevant to your neighborhood. However, we will only accept entries that are 50 words long, no more, no less.

We have a right to update and change these rules at any time.
