Join the Co-op Hackathon to boost collaborative tech within the co‑operative movement The Co-op Hackathon takes place on 19 and 20 October at The Foundry, London, SE11 5RR. The Hackathon will bring together people working within tech in the co-op sector and those interested in finding digital solutions to issues faced by society and the co-op movement. It will create an environment for participants to develop digital solutions for the UK co-op movement and beyond. Are you passionate about advancing the digital potential of our co‑op movement? Do you want to help develop digital solutions to empower co-operatives? Do you have skills, ideas, or tech expertise you can use to do so? Or do you want to support others who do? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, sign-up for the Co-op Hackathon in London on 19 and 20 October. Working in teams, you could develop solutions to support innovative technology ideas, projects, or products for a co-op or for the co-op movement. How to get involved Anyone with a passion for collaborative tech can get involved – you can do this in different ways:

• Submit an idea, project, or product to develop
• Contribute your skills, experience, or expertise to a project
• Or come along as a supporter to attend the presentations

Examples of submissions include:

• Platform co-ops
• Community tech projects for co-ops
• Software or digital infrastructure for the co-op movement and beyond
• Protocols/standards/licenses for the co-op movement

If you have ideas to develop and/or skills to contribute to a team, the Co-op Hackathon is for you – both digital and non-digital skills are welcome! If you don’t want to take part but want to hear about the solutions, there are still ways to attend to find out more about the projects and watch the final presentations.
