Ms. Brachya is a lecturer on sustainability and environmental planning at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at Tel Aviv University. She initiates and participates in research at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, including "Sustainability Outlook for Israel 2030" and "Urban Sustainability."
Ms. Brachya is former Senior Director General for Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Environmental Protection in Israel, where she initiated environmental planning and led the governmental process for a sustainability strategy. Her international activities included leading the environmental section during Israel’s accession to the OECD and representing Israel at UNEP and other UN forums on environmental issues.
