Laura Grace Weldon

I cook subversively, speculate outlandishly and enjoy the company of other hermits.

My articles and essays focused on learning, sustainability and health appear in anthologies and international publications. I am the author of Free Range Learning: How Homeschooling Changes Everything (Hohm Press). My poetry has won several minor awards, the most notable a third grade prize from Miss Barker which included a chocolate bar.

My background includes writing poetry and doing art with nursing home residents, facilitating support groups, teaching conflict resolution and developing community enrichment workshops.

I live on a small farm with my family where we raise bees, cows, chickens, produce and the occasional hair-brained scheme.

Things I share: hope, enthusiasm, embarrassing moments, encouragement, organic produce, volunteer hours, droll comments
