My aim is to share and apply ideas about improving towns, cities and communities, and to help ideas grow. I do that by writing, researching and explaining, connecting, training and encouraging, hosting conversations and events, speaking and listening.
I am a writer, editor, facilitator and consultant specialising in regeneration and placemaking – in other words, how to make the places we live in better and enable the people who live there to create better lives for themselves. I help to influence national policy development and local action, and find ways to join the two up.
