Emily recently moved back to the Bay Area after a year in London completing a master's in urbanization and development at the London School of Economics. While in London she interned at The Young Foundation where she became immersed in social innovation and social impact techniques and became particularly interested in ethnographic and user research practices. After completing her degree, Emily felt passionate about returning home to the Bay to tackle urban challenges relating to civic engagement, community resilience and spatial justice in her own backyard. In addition to interning for the Hub Cities team, she will be supporting the Hub Oakland team as they prepare to launch later this year. She also interns at Rebuilding Together SF where she's hands-on learning community organizing and non-profit management. When Emily isn't interning, she's hiking, eating (a lot of) SF's amazing cuisines, making succulent creations, volunteering at Urban University and (sometimes) writing.
