As a cooperative organizer and educator, Emily M Lippold Cheney prioritizes building youth power and pushing conversations around applying our best practices for developing cooperative enterprises to developing the broader cooperative movement. She pursues opportunities to speak to folks in movements adjacent to the cooperative sector (e.g. FLOS technology) with the goal of building more cohesive and representative global movements for justice. She is currently the program director of the Traveling Cooperative Institute (part of Northcountry Cooperative Foundation), and most recently served as founding director of the USA Cooperative Youth Council. She serves on the Executive Committee of the International Cooperative Alliance’s Youth Network, as well as on the Restructuring Committee of the Sex Workers Outreach Project (USA).
