Eleni Katrini is an architect and researcher, based between Pittsburgh, London, and Athens. Her research focuses on the fields of commons, sharing, and urban ecology. Specifically, she examines the relationship between space and sharing culture, through academia and practice. Eleni taught at the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, and has worked extensively in participatory projects in US and UK. She cofounded the Vacant Home Tour, a program re-envisioning blight by building on a neighborhood's social capital. In 2016, she co-curated the international conference "AUTONOMA; Towards the Collective City." Eleni is a Fulbright and Onassis scholar; she obtained her Architecture diploma from the National Technical University of Athens and her MS in Sustainable Design from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently completing her PhD at Carnegie Mellon, under the title "Creating the Everyday Commons."
