Debbie Siegel is a doctoral candidate studying developmental psychology at UC Santa Cruz. She is interested in how people use objects. Her dissertation focuses on how children learn to use objects in both conventional and creative ways in everyday activities with their parents. In addition to basic research, Debbie is also interested in applications of her work in informal learning settings and design. She lives in San Francisco, welcomes suggestions on creative uses of everyday objects and wonders what life will be like after graduation.
