Caren Holzman

Based in London, Caren leads SustainAbility’s London team, addresses issues related to supply chain engagement, sustainable sourcing and poverty alleviation, and is a member of SustainAbility’s Management Team. Over her career, Caren has worked with a variety of global companies and NGO partners on sustainability issues, focusing on standards development, certification, eco-labelling, social compliance, and sustainable sourcing in agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. Prior to joining SustainAbility, Caren was Head of Global Product Management at Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO) and Director of Category Management at Fair Trade USA, where she led strategy development for major commodities such as coffee and cocoa and innovation projects related to new sector development. Prior to this, Caren worked as a freelance consultant on CSR issues and non-profit strategy, and supported the development and implementation of the Energy Star buildings program while working for ICF Consulting.
