Shareable and the Rural Power Coalition extend a warm invitation to our presentation on How Electric Cooperatives Can Power the Energy Transition.
On Tuesday, June 17th, join us for an energizing session on how everyday people—especially in rural communities—can use their voices to engage with co-op utilities and drive the renewable energy transition.
This is the capstone session of the Rural Electric Cooperative Co-lab. Whether you have attended every session in the series, if you are joining us for the first time, or if you’re just learning about the existence of rural electric co-ops, this call is for you!
This virtual call is free to attend, and will offer a forward-looking vision for how rural electric co-ops can create lasting change at the local level, anchoring the energy transition already underway on statewide and national levels.
Presenters include:
- Karen Campblin of the Center for Common Ground
- Philip Fracica of Renew Missouri
- Matt Grimley, researcher at the Electric Cooperative Innovation Center
- Rachel Christensen, Alaska-based co-op organizer
- Chris Woolery of The Mountain Association,
They will draw from real successes from the co-op organizing that has been happening, largely below most people’s radars.
So join us on June 17 if you can! And if you’re inspired to get involved in moving a rural electric cooperative toward increased transparency, accountability, and toward more renewables, remember: coming this Fall, the content from all the sessions in this co-lab series will be included in a digital toolkit that member-owners can use to create local impact in their own communities and co-ops.
Until then, you can see the recorded sessions on YouTube.
