As a father, husband and concerned citizen of the planet, and as an entrepreneur (founder of OpenTable, Inc., NASDAQ (OPEN)), I wanted to combine my passions and skills into an effort that would help bring neighborhoods together. I look at how our economic system has evolved and believe that we have become too dependent on large corporations and too distant from our neighbors. In co-founding OhSoWe.com, I’d like to find a way to help neighbors build bonds, save money and improve the quality of their life, while at the same time helping us be more sustainable. With the growing climate challenge, I believe that we are going to need to both mitigate further damage and adapt to the changes already baked into the environment. I think the best way to mitigate and adapt is with strong neighbor bonds and local neighborhoods.
