Chris Rankin is the Development Manager at Shareable. He is responsible for coordinating philanthropic giving and assisting in developing a plan to make Shareable an independent and financially resilient organization by 2020. Before joining Shareable, Chris spent two and a half years running the development department for Marin Community Clinics, a non-profit medical clinic that provides high quality, cost-effective, culturally sensitive care to 33,000 people. Before that, he was a political consultant for various Bay Area and California Statewide politicians; however, he predominantly focused on local Board of Education elections because of the tangible impact they had on his community.
Chris earned his master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of San Francisco and bachelor’s degree in Human Communications from Cal State Monterey Bay. While in graduate school he co-founded a student group called Unite for Students, which focused on raising awareness about the “school-to-prison pipeline” through academic studies and parent focused workshops.
