The Social and Solidarity Economy: From the Margins to the Mainstream
DATE / TIME
Sep 13, 2021 - Sep 16, 2021
The OECD Global Action’s conference “The Social and Solidarity Economy: From the Margins to the Mainstream”, which will take place virtually from 13 to 16 September. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant global economic and social disruption. As our economies recover, with global growth projected to reach 5.8% in 2021, the time is right to reflect on the lessons of the crisis and the important role the social and solidarity economy (SSE) can play in building back better. The conference will be an opportunity to hear from policymakers, practitioners, and experts on their perspectives and experiences in promoting the SSE. The key issues of raising the visibility of the SSE, building partnerships, and achieving social impact will also be addressed. We hope you can join us to:
- Discuss new OECD evidence and raise awareness on the important role SSE organisations can play in rebuilding better.
- Learn more about policies, tools and legal frameworks, including from OECD research, that can help SSE organisations achieve and measure social impact.
- Network with other international practitioners, experts and policymakers, during interactive roundtables, breakout sessions and digital app networking features.
