Let’s work together with all the stakeholders in the Sharing Cities ecosystem to devise a plan of shared actions and resources at the Sharing Cities Action Encounter 2019, to take place during the Smart City Expo World Congress from 19 to 21 November in Barcelona.

Following last year’s Sharing Cities Summit hosted by the city of Barcelona, the Sharing Cities Action Encounter 2019 will once again gather the entire sharing cities ecosystem and turn Barcelona into the conversational epicentre of the platform and collaborative economies. The 2018 event gave rise to insightful discussions on how the continuous growth of the collaborative economy and digital platforms affects cities’ life and economic development, which ultimately led to the signing of the Declaration of Sharing Cities. Now, in 2019, a number of cities, organizations, researchers and members of civil society are set to meet at the Sharing Cities Action Encounter once again to work together to devise the 2020 Action Plan for the Platform Economy and the Collaborative Economy. Our three-day programme, taking place at the Stand Lab at the Smart City Expo World Congress, aims to develop alternative models for the future, with three main focuses: (1) Economic Models & the Future of Labour; (2) Inclusion & Gender; and (3) Data.
