Just like any other big cities around the world, Seoul, one of the most densely populated city in the world, also faces issues such as limited resources, less sense of neighborhoodship from urbanization, environmental problems, etc. Seoul is focusing on sharing movement because sharing can be a way to breakthrough to those issues, and create a new way of life based on mutual kindness. Especially, Seoul is different from other sharing cities in the matter of unusually strong city government support. In 2012, Seoul city declared itself to be a Sharing City and announced a manifesto.
