If money was no option, I'd like to say that I'd live as modestly but comfortably as possible. My husband and I have talked about what if we won the lottery and we both agreed we continue working, buy modest cars, a modest home, and actually put almost all of it away. Life is not about money, in my opinion.

Coworking is definitely on the rise in the UK. It's interesting that the survey notes 166 coworking spaces in the UK. I wonder how many are unofficial coworking spaces there are and how Deskmag did the survey?
I love coworking. I ran a coworking space in San Antonio for two years, closing in 2011. I agree with ThreeFortyNine philosophically but my experience says that coworking, even with the benefits I know it can offer, doesn't work everywhere.
Our space never turned a profit in more than two years. We didn't, as my friend Alex Hillman encourages, build a community before opening, but we did our damnest to build it as quickly as we could. In the six months after opening we had nearly 1,000 people in the space as coworkers, guests or attendees at numerous events. We hosted everything from non-profit board meetings to gubernatorial campaign meetings to bike porn film screenings and Lego club meetups.
We had a small cadre of dedicated members, about 10. About six of them regularly worked in the 3,000 SF space at any one time. We had a known brand in the city. We were the licensee of TEDxSanAntonio and sponsored many community events within the space as well as in the community.
Coworking never took hold in San Antonio. It hasn't to this day, at least in a manner that you would define as a self-sustaining business (check out Geekdom, a corporately underwritten space that offers coworking for the tech community.)
If you know your Texas geography you'll know that San Antonio is about 80 miles south of Austin, but the two cities might just as well be on different planets. My friends in Austin who launched spaces at the same time and after I did have enjoyed amazing success. That just wasn't the story in San Antonio.
I would encourage you to investigate coworking churn, or those spaces that opened and then closed. Or look into those spaces that where in the planning stages that never got off the ground.
Coworking requires the right community culture and the right mix of risk takers and imaginative thinkers to happen. You can't get what the infographic describes without that triangle of coworking, Big C Community and individuals. My belief is that we lacked the kind of Big C Community that supported or encouraged or provided a safe place for, to paraphrase Steve Jobs, the crazy ones.
If you're going to tell the whole coworking story you have to tell that story as well.
