ShareMelbourne is an initiative to connect all local sharing economy groups across the city including community gardens, tool & seed libraries, carsharing programs, collaborative consumption startups, food co-ops and coworking communities. The group runs events and works with community, government and business to advocate for Melbourne and other local governments to become Sharing Cities.

ShareMelbourne aims to share resources, network and influence public policy to strengthen this movement through collaboration.

Join the Facebook Group to learn more about events and activities happening in the city. Or contact Darren Sharp for more information:

Asset Mapping

ShareMelbourne partners with Social Surplus to run asset mapping workshops to activate local sharing communities across Melbourne.

Asset mapping is an engagement process for revealing the strengths of everyday people and makes community assets more visible. Higher awareness of shared assets can lead to more collaborations between groups and projects and new ideas to fill in the gaps. Asset maps show who’s available to organise, what resources can be connected and make us better sharing city advocates.
